elCASC. Villena /// Activities 2014

Project in collaboration with Ayuntamiento de Villena & Universidad de Alicante.

elCASC 2014 (Social and cultural Reactivation Festival) was the second edition of an academic-institutional event that took place in the hitorical district of Villena during 10 days, from july 23rd to August 2nd in 2014.
The event consisting in a serie of lectures and activities helped to study deeper all the different subjects and areas related to the historical district reactivation throught the professional experience and works of the tutors of the workshops. Academia Villena organized the activities and link them to the local stoy and the locals eager to contribute. The lectures where light to stablish them as a multidiscipliary meeting and discussion point between tutors and participants.

Teje-tejo by Carpe-Via
Teje-tejo is an ephemeral urban event organized by Carpe-Via that intended to transform the historical district of Villena in a game scenario. The idea was to generate a net of tejos (traditional children game) interconected and linking different urban spaces like squares and buildings.

With the help of the historical district office we gave quicklime to the neighbors so they culd all paint the façade of their house in white at the same time.
